What this website does not do

This website sets no cookies, loads no fonts, maps, videos or scripts from third-party servers, and uses no third-party analytics service. There is no contact form and therefore no form submission.

Traffic measurement on our own server

We count how often our pages are opened — on our own server, without a service provider. Only daily totals are stored, and these completely: the number of visits started; page views per address; the address a visit began on; the address a visit ended on; the domain of the referring page (never the full address); the kind of that domain in broad groups: search, social network, AI assistant, news site, direct; device class (mobile or desktop); the language version opened (German or English); the hour of the visit; time on page in broad bands; scroll depth in broad bands; how often an address was viewed for more than 30 seconds or beyond three quarters of its length; actions by kind — a click on a product; a click on one of our email addresses; a click on the feed; that a visit opened a second page; a click on a product tile; that the portfolio filter was used; that a question was expanded; that the language was switched; that the light or dark background was switched; and that a sample question on the home page was answered; for a product click: which product; for a click on an email address: which of our addresses; the page an action was triggered on; the referring domain that action came from; and its kind, in the same broad groups; and requested addresses that do not exist on this website — a list of our own mistakes, not a statement about you. Nothing else is stored; this list is generated when the site is built, from the list of fields the counter knows, and therefore cannot fall behind it. Your IP address is neither stored nor processed, no cookie is set, and no identifier is issued that would make you recognisable across visits. The stored figures cannot be linked to a person. Three values are kept in your browser for the duration of the session: that this visit has been counted, that a second page has been opened, and the domain the visit began from. They serve only to avoid counting the same visit twice and to attribute an action to its source, are deleted when the tab is closed and are passed to no one; this is strictly necessary for that purpose within the meaning of § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and requires no consent. The legal basis for the analysis is our legitimate interest in designing this website to meet demand, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, no counting takes place for you at all.

Server logs

When you open a page, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the server: IP address, time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred and the browser identifier. These logs serve secure operation and are deleted shortly afterwards. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in trouble-free operation, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting

This website is operated by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Zypern. The provider processes the server logs described above on our behalf, on the basis of a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your details solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete messages once the matter is closed and no retention obligation applies.

Applications

We process application documents only for the respective selection process, on the legal basis of § 26 BDSG. After it concludes we delete them within six months at the latest, unless you have agreed to longer storage.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
